Imperative Care Process Development Engineer Intern in Campbell, California

Job Title:  Process Development Engineer Intern

Location: This position is based in our Campbell, California offices, on-site & full-time. Imperative Care does not provide relocation or additional housing compensation for the summer internship.

What You’ll Do

Our program gives students the opportunity to work with a dynamic medical device industry. The internship will provide the opportunity to gain valuable, hands-on experience with state-of-the-art equipment, instruments, and facilities. 

  •  Work cross functionally (Ops, Quality, Regulatory, R&D) to update, revise and release documents utilizing the Quality Management System (QMS)

  • Convert current manufacturing documentation to new templates and gather feedback from Operators, Supervisors, and Engineers to improve order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.

  • Convert current equipment files to updated templates, organize electronic files in a network drive, and file the physical forms into equipment folders.

  • Ensure compliance to Company procedures.

  • Inform responsible personnel of concerns involving product quality.

  • Perform job functions in a safe and effective manner.

    What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum of 2 years of college-level coursework in the process of obtaining an Industrial Engineering degree or equivalent (Bioengineering, Material Engineering or Mechanical Engineering) & a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

  • Strong verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software

  • Strong understanding of engineering principals

  • Technical writing and editing

  • Knowledge of data and data analysis

  • Strong analytical and statistical knowledge

  • Knowledge and hands-on experience in machine shop (lathe/milling machine) is a plus

  • Ability to work independently or in a team setting

  • Good interpersonal skills, effective communication, and partnership with and other departments

  • Ability to perform research and investigation

  • Ability to set and adhere to timelines and deadlines.
