Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Splunk Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to support the day-to-day administration and health of a Splunk Enterprise environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Provide production and infrastructure support, root cause analysis, troubleshooting, health monitoring, etc

  • Support the development and build of Splunk dashboards, reports, alerts, etc

  • Drive the operational implementation of monitoring capabilities, dashboards, and improvements

  • Improve the Splunk deployment via curtailing the data, optimizing reporting, reviewing and tuning configurations, and enhancing search capabilities

  • Create and implement configuration standards, policies, and/or procedures for improved Splunk operations and management

  • Deploy new Splunk installations, refine configuration management capabilities, ensure license management is operating ideally

  • Participate in requirements gathering, architecting, building, and supporting operational teams

  • Design and implement a technical infrastructure based on functional requirements for new and existing Splunk instances

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • 8+ years in a Splunk Engineer role

  • Splunk Enterprise Certified Administrator or higher (Splunk Enterprise Certified Architect preferred)

  • Demonstrated experience implementing and/or integrating Splunk into an organization

  • Understanding of Splunk best practices for planning, data collection and sizing a distributed deployment

  • Experience with deploying, maintaining, or integrating using cybersecurity tools, including Splunk/Splunk Backend

  • Knowledge of security architecture design and integration

  • Ability to integrate cybersecurity engineering principles into infrastructure planning, design, and deployment

  • Ability to meet schedule, performance, and quality within the systems development life cycle (SDLC)

  • Clearance Level - Secret

Salary Range:

$104,200.00 - $182,400.00
