Job Description
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking aSenior Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) with demonstrated experience inRMF, security architecture and design, and DoD customersto join our team in Dallas, TX!
As a Senior Information System Security Engineer (ISSE), you will:

A week in the life ofa Senior Information System Security Engineer:
Design and implement security related products on an enterprise level.
Provide guidance on active Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms)
Track findings with POA&M through mitigation and/or risk acceptance.
Ensure compliance through periodic and continuous monitoring of the system, procedures, and documentation.
Monitor system recovery processes following an outage.
Prepare system documentation for assessment IAW the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST Special Publications
Create and maintain information system security documentation.
Identify deficiencies and provide recommendations for solutions.
Participate in the change management process.
Assist with security infractions and assist in security investigations & responses.
Work on engineering & packaging release projects to integrate within customer production environment.
Participate in the change management process.
Job Requirements
Active TS clearance(SCI eligible)
CISSP certificateORDoD 8570.1 IAT Level III equivalent (CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, GCED, GCIH, or CCSP)
Bachelor's degree in STEM field and 10-12 years’ experienceOR
Master's degree with 8-10 years’ experience
5+ years’ experience designing and implementing enterprise scale solutions.
Background experience with RMF, ICD 503, NIST SP800-53 or DCID 6/3, or knowledge of current authorization practices, particularly within the DoD.
Experience with Splunk Enterprise operations and using various IA tools such as HBSS, McAfee ePO, ENS, and DLP.
Demonstrated security experience related to modern Windows, Linux, UNIX, Cisco, SQL or Oracle databases, and virtualized systems.
Willingness to submit for CI Polygraph.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary/hourly range for this position is $150,000-170,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
