Who We Want

The HR Manager is responsible for providing HR leadership to support our continued growth, organizational effectiveness, and employee engagement between our two locations in Fenton, MI.

 

What You Will Be Doing

  • Build strong relationships within all levels of the organization to deliver business objectives and resolve issues.
  • Provides support for projects and programs that contribute to the employee relations strategy and company culture.
  • Proactively manage employee relations issues, including using fair and consistent application of policies and disciplinary actions to make recommendations for corrective action to come to a resolution.  
  • Train managers to coach and discipline employees, and counsel employees and supervisors as necessary.
  • Provide guidance for employees and managers on company policies and processes.
  • Implement measures to increase employee morale, motivation, and satisfaction, while reducing turnover.
  • Work with managers to determine training needs and create training and development programs that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Work together with Plant Managers and Safety Team to ensure company follows MIOSHA regulations.
  • Champion the onboarding process, ensuring the process is up to date and of high quality, providing clarity and connection for all employees and their role in relation to the overall vision of the company.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to employment law, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Stay current with changing employment laws and regulations as they relate to our manufacturing environment.
  • Lead HR team in administration of all HR functions including payroll, benefits, recruiting, retention, employee relations, workers compensation, training and development.
  • Provide guidance on both workforce planning and succession planning.
