Job Description

The Texan Hub Coordinator provides support for prospective students, assisting them through the application process, and documenting all advising recommendations to streamline degree planning after admission. Provides pre-advising support for current students by scheduling appointments, ensuring students have the necessary transcripts/forms, and assisting with communication and follow-up correspondence. Provides administrative support and assistance for the departments located in the Student Services Suite, including Advising, Financial Aid, Registrar, Career Services, and others who provide student services on the Fort Worth campus. Exercises initiative and judgment in supporting administrators and staff with general administrative tasks and activities. Works collaboratively and cooperatively with other university personnel and the public when needed. Assists students, greets visitors, provides wayfinding, answers telephone, and routes mail. Performs specialized tasks requiring proficiency in the use of computer software.

Work hours: Mon-Fri; 9 AM-6 PM or as work requirements or alternative scheduling indicate; Serves as a Campus Security Authority (CSA).

Must be able to work remotely at the request of the University.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates schedules and appointments for External Operations and Tarleton State Fort Worth student services personnel.

  • Creates programs and initiatives to increase awareness of the Texan Hub and student support services.

  • Provides procedural support for Tarleton State Fort Worth first-year, transfer, graduate, and prospective students.

  • Provides EAB Navigate and other Enterprise Management systems oversight for Tarleton State Fort Worth.

  • Assist prospective students at various stages of the admissions process.

  • Provides pre-advising support by ensuring current and prospective students have necessary information such as transcripts and other forms prior to visits.

  • Greets campus visitors and providing support in other locations such as the reception area and Tarleton State @ TCC as needed.

  • Provides directional assistance.

  • Answers general campus telephone calls and email inquiries.

  • Provide coordination and support for External Operations events, programs, and other campus-wide initiatives.

  • Administrative Support: Provides administrative support and assistance for the departments located in the Student Services Suite, including Advising, Financial Aid, Registrar, Career Services, and others who provide services to students on the Fort Worth campus; Exercises initiative and judgment in supporting administrators and staff with general administrative tasks and activities; Schedules student appointments with respective departments;

  • Reception: Answers and appropriately distributes incoming phone calls; Distributes mail (incoming, outgoing, intra-campus); Maintains broad knowledge of all programs and services so individuals may be directed appropriately

  • Office Support: Inventories office supplies for Student Services Suite and forwards needs list to appropriate individuals; Stocks and stores incoming supplies; Maintains a neat and orderly office environment.

  • Performs other departmental duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Three years of related experience.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of general office practices and procedures.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively.

    Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Business/technical school degree is preferred.

  • Bilingual, Spanish.

Salary

Commensurate with experience

The target base annual salary is $39,120 and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
