Telecom Technician Intern I
Must be knowledgeable of and follow all safety rules, procedures and practices.
Ability to absorb information, apply conceptual skills in practical applications, and achieve desired results in a highly technical, operating environment.
Must effectively deal with the rapid technological and business changes.
Perform work in a responsible and cooperative manner to facilitate a positive working environment.
Analyze and troubleshoot telecommunications issues, which require moderate resolution.
Install and maintain telecommunications equipment.
Understand basic documentation and schematic drawings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
At times, heavy manual labor is a requirement. The candidate must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position in varying weather conditions.
Hours will be flexible around the intern’s school schedule with a minimum of 20 hours per week. Full-time hours could potentially be available if the student’s schedule allows.
Required Education & Experience:
Must be currently enrolled and pursuing an Associate’s Degree in a technical field. Applicable degree fields include Engineering and Electronics Technology, Industrial Electricity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
To remain in the position a 2.5 GPA or higher must be sustained throughout the intern program. Above average interpersonal written and verbal communication skills are essential.
