Accounting Analyst I, II, III or Sr-Corporate Accounting
Balances intercompany charges and prepares intercompany billings.
Serves as the primary interface with the parent company regarding intercompany charges.
Prepares and reviews journal entries and financial calculations.
Prepares and reviews balance sheet account reconciliations.
Maintains and updates the affiliate transaction database.
Prepares affiliate transactions reporting for regulatory filings. Provides support to witnesses on affiliate transaction data requests for rate cases.
Ensures all accounting and reporting is in compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements and ensures accurate and timely adoption of new regulations.
Ensures on-going compliance with internal controls related to all tasks and works with management and/or
internal and external auditors as needed to complete walkthroughs and SOX controls testing.
Maintains assigned accounting policies. Responds to various inquiries concerning accounting procedures and financial information from other areas of the Company.
All other duties and projects as assigned.
Primarily sitting with optional standing and walking.
CPA certification and master’s degree in business or accounting. Knowledge of and experience with the Oracle financial system preferred.
Normal office environment.
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting. For the Accounting Analyst I level, zero to two years of experience in accounting required. For the II level, a minimum of two years of experience in accounting required. Requires strong Excel skills and experience with large databases.
