Job Description:

•Assists in the preparation of monthly variance reporting for supported businesses.

•Assists with monthly accounting journal entries within the Oracle Financial system.

•Assists with project set up within PowerPlant.

•Query the Oracle and PowerPlant databases, and utilize the output to update various Excel spreadsheets.

•Assist in the annual Budgeting process for O&M and Capital.

•Manage multiple tasks while accurately maintaining record of work accomplishments

•Performs other duties as directed and assigned by Manager/Budget Analysts .

Required Education & Experience:

Completed sophomore year of undergraduate studies with declared major in accounting or finance.

Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office and proficient with the use of Excel

Must be able to demonstrate excellent examples of attention to detail as well as organization and analytical skills.

Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP preferred but not required

Above average interpersonal written/oral communication skills required.

Position Purpose:

This position is responsible for performing and/or coordinating the performance of a wide variety of budgetary duties and analyses, for the coordination and development of the annual operating plan. Under the supervision of manager, Finance and Budgeting, Energy Services and/or Budget Analysts, assigned responsibilities to work on projects and programs necessary to achieve or exceed long and short-term financial goals.

Position is part time during the spring/fall semester (around 20 hours/week) and full time during the summer (40 hours/week). Hours are Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, with flexibility around the students class schedule.
