Summary: This paid internship is a full-time position working within several departments at Pace Industries. Interns will develop an in-depth understanding of the die casting industry, as well as gain valuable on the job experience that will lead to confidence when continuing their career in manufacturing. Duties and Responsibilities This job includes but is not limited to the following: Program new parts Operate a variety of machine types or multiple non-complex machines at a time and perform set-ups Adjust speeds/feeds, edit or recommend edits for existing programs Setup repeat and non-complex jobs Problem solving and trouble shooting Monitor machine performance to ensure that product quality and specifications are achieved Prepare future jobs while machines are operating Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures Other duties as assigned Dedicated to Pace's 24/7 safety policy. Wear required personal protective equipment. Keep work area clean and orderly. Self-starter that takes the initiative. Complete all assigned tasks given by their supervisor. Show up on time and ready to work through the entire course of the internship. Position Requirements *Currently pursuing a degree or technical diploma in a technical discipline. *Strong skills in Mastercam, CNC Setup, EDM Skills and Mechanical abilities *Willingness to explore difficult tasks. *Strong written and verbal communication skills. *Work well in a team oriented atmosphere. *Ability to read blueprints/schematics and follow written/verbal instructions. *Proficient in mathematics. *Proficient in various forms of measurement. *Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
