Promote and support the No Compromise safety efforts and procedures. Work with Company management to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Understand and execute electrical service-related work Routing, performing and completing service orders in a timely manner. Complete service orders via paper forms or electronically accurately as required. Support and enhance customer satisfaction initiatives. Support and cooperate with other departments performing customer-related work. Practice and maintain safe driving skills.
Driving, walking, light lifting and use of ladders are regular demands of this position. Frequent entering and exiting the service truck is required.
Must have a valid state driver’s license and pass any additional qualifications required to operate Company vehicles. Must possess basic PC user skills to effectively operate the mobile computing device. Must be able to speak, understand, and write English. Being fluent in Spanish would be helpful. Solid background in electrical work is beneficial. Must be very mature and self-controlled with the ability to think independently and make sound work decisions. Must be able to accurately read and report on metering devices. Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations. Should be courteous and capable of expressing ideas both verbally and in writing. Must be able to walk for long distances and for long periods of time. Job will require entering and exiting a truck while working orders or reading meters

Required Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.

In addition to current job duties, this position would help coordinate the daily completion of customer and company requested service orders in a safe and efficient manner in the KU service territory. THIS POSITION CODE IS FOR ANY KU HOURLY EMPLOYEE HIRED AFTER AUGUST 1, 2006. USE KU HOURLY WAGE SHEET – LABORER GENERAL WAGE SCALE (note 6).
