Description

The Mental Health Specialist (MHS) functions under the direction and supervision of the Clinical Social Worker and/or Registered Nurse to provide direct care for selected patients. The MHS is expected to demonstrate a basic understanding of contemporary psychosocial principles in relation to their area of responsibility while implementing the delegated tasks of the Multidisciplinary Treatment Plan of Care.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree Psychology, Social Work or related field. Or equivalent educ/experience.

• Education requirement may be waived in the case of an applicant demonstrating exceptional relevant clinical experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year Recent experience working in an inpatient or outpatient setting with the mentally ill.
