Job Description

A program of the IRC’s Research, Analysis and Learning department, Framework is a national training and technical assistance (TTA) project that builds capacity of service providers and their partners to address labor trafficking in the United States. Framework is dedicated to the creation of tailored, engaging, and user-friendly resources, and the provision of in-person and remote assistance. Guided by human rights values, the Framework team works with survivors, service providers, and other experts to comprehensively understand the issue of labor trafficking and utilize proven knowledge-sharing practices to deliver TTA that is tailored to the needs of the anti-trafficking field.

SCOPE OF INTERN WORK:Under the direction of the Deputy Director and in collaboration with a small, close-knit team, the Framework intern will contribute to and collaborate on projects that support the program’s goals of increasing collaboration, improving service delivery, and enhancing survivor engagement of labor trafficking survivors.

COMMITMENT:3 months

PROJECT EXAMPLES:The Framework intern will assist with projects that align with the program’s needs and the intern’s area(s) of interest. This may include creating materials (e.g., summary sheets, case study videos, PowerPoint presentations, toolkits); supporting virtual training; conducting data entry, analysis, and presentations; editing videos; or other activities.

REQUIREMENTS:This internship will be ideal for a self-motivated, tech-savvy, and detail-oriented person with a baseline understanding of and commitment to human rights work, an interest in the issue of labor trafficking, and a desire to develop knowledge and skills related to non-profit program administration. Survivors of trafficking are highly encouraged to apply.

• Dedication to a trauma-informed and equitable work environment

• Experience in multimedia design, educational technology, social work, monitoring and evaluation, or a related field desirable AND/OR lived experience as a survivor of human trafficking

• Experience with graphic, e-learning, webinar, and communication platforms and software (e.g., Articulate, Zoom, Mailchimp, SurveyMonkey, Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, or other video editing software)

• Experience creating animations a plus

• Excellent skills in Microsoft Office programs

• Fluency in Spanish is desired
