The Opportunity

Williams International is seeking a motivated and talented HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) Intern to join our team.  This internship provides a unique opportunity for students interested in gaining hands-on experience in HVAC systems within a large-scale manufacturing environment. The HVAC Intern will work alongside experienced HVAC Technicians to participate in repairs, installations, and maintenance.

Additionally, the HVAC Intern will:

  • Assist in troubleshooting and repairing the following commercial systems;

    • Heating loop boilers
    • Domestic water boilers
    • Air cooled and mechanical chiller systems and associated pumps, cooling towers, and chemical feed system
    • Air handling units
    • Roof top units
    • Variable air volume boxes
    • Low voltage controls related to the building management system
  • Assist with general periodic maintenance of equipment mentioned above (i.e. filter replacements, bearing greasing, etc.).

  • Assist with purchasing and installation of small heat/cooling systems, exhaust fans, dehumidification/humidification systems including refrigerant charging and coordination of electrical power.

Update documentation as needed. ```{=html} ``` - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination of HVAC-related activities. - Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements while performing HVAC tasks. Assist in ensuring that WI facility meets industry standards.   **Qualifications**

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited HVAC program.
  • Strong interest in HVAC systems, energy efficiency, and sustainability.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Capable of lifting 50 pounds from floor to height of 25 inches, capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, have a grip strength of at least 50 pounds and be able to reach above shoulder 65 inches above floor level (minimum)
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
