Overview:
Generac is a public company with headquarters located in Waukesha, WI. Generac manufactures a wide range of products in the marketplace including portable, residential, commercial and industrial generators. The internship program provides an opportunity for students seeking to work in the manufacturing field. Generac is looking for an energetic and hard-working student to join our company with internship opportunities in various departments.
The Continuous Improvement intern will be responsible for day-to-day duties that include working with variety of departments. CI Intern responsibilities will include assisting in the planning and execution of programs, drafting communications, file management, inventory management and order placement of needed materials, reservation of conference rooms, and participation in continuous improvement events. Additional responsibilities may include data entry and analysis, assistance on projects and other duties.
Responsibilities:
Provide ongoing project support and work between cross functional teams
Assist team members with providing necessary reports and queries to assist the department to make informed and good business decisions
Assist in updating departmental procedures and policies
Assist in creating and updating presentations
Provide program support and communicate with cross functional teams
Place and manage the ordering of program materials
Create, distribute, and analyze program surveys
Other Duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program
The ability to work 15-20 hours during the school year and full-time during school breaks.

Physical demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
